We manufacture and repair Anilox cylinders for any flexo printing press on the market. We use state-of-the-art technology called Ultra Fibre Optic Laser System, engraving layers from 20 to 800 lines per centimetre, volumes from 1 to 80 cm3/m2 in a size of up to 4.7 mt in length.
For the production of our ceramic coating we use the Tri-Plex II plasma system. This guarantees a porosity of less than 1% and a hardness of more than 1600 Vickers which provides increased durability and improved cell volume release.
This precision allows for consistent quality, ensuring high definition, minimal dot gain, no spitting problems and high colour intensity.
For printing ultraviolet (UV) curing inks and varnishes, we have seven different types of engravings available, designed to achieve the best printing results on narrow web printers used for label and shrink sleeve production. These engravings include anilox rollers for the application of acrylic or UV coatings on offset varnish towers.
ANILOX CEA
With the hexagonal cell engraving we achieve a wide range of applications: four-colour printing, backgrounds and varnishes.
Due to the cell structure and the internal polishing the cells remain cleaner for a longer time. Improved ink transfer to the substrate at any flexo printing speed.
ANILOX ASUV (Anti-spitting)
With an anilox that incorporates the ASUV treatment you can solve the ink splashing problems that often occur in UV ink jobs.
This coating has been designed to eliminate the uncomfortable problem that often occurs when working with UV-curable inks in combination with certain variables such as backgrounds with high flow requirements.
This type of ASUV technology can be applied to any anilox lineature and any anilox volume, regardless of the cell geometry.
ANILOX EBO: HOW (Hight Opaque White)
This is specially designed for transferring the largest ink deposit to the substrate. A uniform, fully opaque layer of ink is covered without changing the printing speed.
More UV white ink is evacuated from the cells with the EBO anilox, than with other etching systems. Although it is not an anilox for defining text, with good control of the print variables, positive and negative text can also be reproduced.
EPT ANILOX:
With an EPT anilox we can solve complex jobs combining screens and pantone colours on a single cliché and the same machine body.
When printing pantone colours we need to ensure the necessary volume to give us the right intensity, but often the design includes fine lines or screens that require good definition. This type of engraving ensures just the right amount of ink, but with a high lineature that allows the reproduction of the screens simultaneously thanks to the special formation of the cell that allows greater evacuation despite the high definition.
TACT ANILOX
With a TACT anilox we can obtain 3D relief effects and textures such as rough finish, sand imitation, soft touch and more creative designs.
This engraving has been designed to obtain special effects with flexo inks and varnishes. The Anilox TACT is capable of transferring the necessary volume required by certain touch-effect varnishes such as rough, embossed, sand, soft-touch, etc.
It has several input levels, depending on the type of effect varnish and the final texture intended for the substrate. The engraving can also be customised to suit the varnish manufacturer’s recommendations.
ANILOX TAD
TAD recording for four-colour HD provides high dot definition without sacrificing colour intensity.
Good prepress requires an anilox capable of transmitting all screen dots accurately, without spitting and with minimum dot gain. In addition to the above, TAD engraving maintains a real ink supply thanks to the geometry of the cell, ensuring that the density does not fall below the defined standard.
ANILOX VARN
This engraving is designed to provide the necessary volume of UV-curable varnishes, acrylic lacquers, primers and other special coatings.
With a VARN anilox it ensures precise and constant volume in your flexo body or offset varnish tower. The laser engraving of the anilox cylinder adapts to any type of press, printing speed, varnish type and substrate.
For packaging applications on cartonboard, self-adhesive labels, plastics and flexible packaging papers and any finish where good print protection or visual effects are required: gloss, matt, pearlescent, metallic, textured, etc.
Our professional team provides the necessary advice to determine the best Ibeslab anilox engraving for the customer’s application and requirements. We even provide printed samples if possible.
No, engraving with a hexagonal cell or other special shape allows a more precise and controlled dosage of ink to the plate, therefore, the definition is superior to those that do not use this technique.
We have two specific types for flexo screen printing: TAD and CEA, both of which can engrave up to 800 lines per centimetre and can reproduce dots of comparable quality to offset or rotogravure, while maintaining good colour density.
It is best if the aniloxes are manufactured with an anti-spitting treatment, such as the Ibeslab ASUV type, but if this is not possible, by adjusting the machine speed and the type of anchor there are occasions when it can be mitigated, but not completely solved.
Yes, we have special types of engravings that allow us to achieve opaque white, visual or tactile finishes and even text and screen combinations with high quality thanks to the latest generation of laser engraving research.
