Home » Cleaners for screen printing
We produce a wide range of cleaners for screen printing inks, specially formulated for all types of inks: solvent, water-based, plastisol or UV-cured.
Our cleaners ensure the removal of ink residues on the tools used in the printing process: the screen, squeegee, printing tables or mixing containers.
Our Ibeslab ID formulations are adapted for use on the shop floor, with products for manual cleaning in small and medium sized workshops or in automatic screen cleaning machines for high production industrial environments.
These cleaners, applied with rags or absorbent cloths, are based on fast evaporating ingredients with a high ink dissolving capacity.
Their accelerated drying allows ink blockages to be removed during the printing process, reducing downtime.

In automatic screen cleaning machines, whether static or in a continuous train, its application is carried out by means of nozzles that project the cleaner by means of compressed air.
They ensure a homogeneous cleaning of the screen with greater operator comfort.
In these products we incorporate slower evaporation substances, which are more effective in closed circuits to eliminate ink residues in a short period of time.
These cleaners reduce evaporation losses during the wash process and reduce the risk of fire when dealing with flammable solvents. Re-use in multiple wash cycles ensures low cleaner consumption and reduces costs.

We supply workbenches for cleaning screen printing tools and screens. They consist of workbenches made of stainless steel, equipped with a recirculation system for the cleaner and a steam extractor hood. They are designed for use with solvent or water-based cleaners.
We supply machines for the automatic cleaning of screens equipped with a powerful spraying system, in a closed circuit to avoid evaporation losses that eliminate ink residues in a few minutes.
This equipment is manufactured on demand, after carrying out a customised study to recommend the most suitable cleaner and the productivity of the equipment in the industrial screen printing environment.
For the cleaning of solvent-based and UV-curable inks, formulations based on solvent and alcohol are generally used. These ibeslab mixtures are classified according to the degree of evaporation, being recommended the use of medium or slow evaporation mixtures as they are more efficient and lower the consumption of cleaner, reducing evaporation losses.
For the cleaning of water-based and UV-curable inks we have water-based formulations or concentrated water-soluble cleaners, which are ecologically more sustainable and help to ensure a safer handling environment.
In the case of thermal curing inks, known as plastisol, hydrocarbon based solvents are commonly used, which are low odour and slow drying.
Once the printing process has been completed for the screen recovery and re-etching stages, the necessary chemicals are available for screen processing:
For the effective functioning of the cleaners, they may sometimes have labels informing about the risks during handling or storage (flammability), therefore ibeslab has ecological formulations for many types of inks, eliminating or reducing the risks to health and the environment:
Our technical-commercial team carries out audits at the customer’s request to propose improvements in the cleaning stage of screen printing screens. Detecting wide-ranging opportunities for improvement:
ibeslab provides efficient, sustainable and safe cleaning solutions for both operators and the environment in the field of screen printing. ibeslab cleaning chemicals help to improve the productivity and maintenance of all elements of the screen printing workshop.
Normally, manual cleaners are faster drying, and slower evaporating cleaners are used in the equipment to serve many wash cycles.
It will always be easier and quicker to clean if the ink is fresh at the end of printing, with solvent and water based inks the cleaning has to be immediate. Plastisol or UV-curable inks can be cleaned after a few hours.
Yes, ibeslab screen cleaners can be recycled using a solvent distiller for re-incorporation into the cleaning cycle, sludge and residues are managed as RTP.
It is not advisable as it may contain substances that damage the emulsion or frame adhesive. They may also contain ingredients such as methanol or its derivatives, which are toxic to the user.
